How to distinguish between silk and silk types

In the recent summer, many clothes are marked with 100% silk fabrics. Then many customers told me that looking at the pictures didn't make them feel silk fabric at all. Therefore, here is a special article on silk classification, for everyone to understand the silk fabric. Let's popularize the classification of silk. I think in the hearts of many people, silk should be the kind of fabric that feels smooth and comfortable to the touch. I always thought so before I was in the business. In fact, there are many types of silk, not just the one we thought before.

I hope that after reading this article, you can understand why many of our clothes are marked with silk but question whether we say it is not silk. Because silk is not the only one! !! !!

Common types of silk fabrics are roughly divided into several categories according to the process: double crepe, heavy crepe, georgette, double qiao, heavy qiao, samba, plain crepe, stretch plain crepe, and warp knitting.

Each has its own characteristics. For example, the texture of tadpoles is thin and light, and the appearance of satin is smooth and shiny. The brocades have gorgeous jacquard surfaces, while the tadpoles have obvious twill and so on.

Because of different processing techniques, the degree of compactness and shrinkage are different. Similarly, the weight of the fabric is completely different. Even if it is 100% pure silk, the price will be much different.

Under normal circumstances, double crepe fabrics are set under high temperature, with good wrinkle resistance and bright color; heavy crepe is slightly thicker, the fabric has good drape, and the wrinkle resistance will be stronger; samba is more common and is often used to make cheongsam and satin The texture is clear and antique; the plain crepe satin surface is bright and noble, and it feels slippery, but the shrinkage rate is large, and the gloss will decrease after entering the water. In addition to silk, 5% to 10% spandex is added to the elastic crepe satin. Well, the shrinkage rate is small. The types of silk are double crepe, crepe crepe, crepe, crepe, and taffy.
