Wu Hanhua, director of the Shaoxing County Personnel Bureau, said that Shaoxing County plans to train about 800 fabric designers for Shaoxing textile enterprises within three years, including 100 senior designers, 300 designers and 400 designers.
Shaoxing County is a national textile county. In 2008, it produced 2 million tons of chemical fiber, 5.3 billion meters of chemical fiber cloth, and 15.1 billion meters of printing and dyeing cloth. The annual output of chemical fiber raw materials and fabrics and the annual export volume of chemical fiber raw materials accounted for 10% of the country. .
Wu Hanhua said that due to the severe impact of the international financial crisis, China's textile industry has encountered unprecedented difficulties and challenges. In response to the crisis, Shaoxing County vigorously implemented the textile cluster upgrading project, and the training of talents was the key to the improvement. Therefore, the plan was launched.
Fu Guangwei, deputy director of the National Textile Product Development Center, said that since 2006, China has implemented the textile fabric designer evaluation project. Up to now, there are more than 100 fabric designers and nearly 50 senior designers. In reality, we need to cultivate such designers in large numbers.
According to reports, the total number of employees in China's textile and garment industry reached 19.6 million, accounting for 14% of the total number of industrial enterprises above designated size. However, only 1.5% of the total number of employees engaged in fabric design work, creativity and design. High-level talents in other areas are even scarcer.
