Home textile market has huge export potential

The China National Spinners Association recently released the economic operation data of the home textile industry in the first quarter of 2013. The data shows that the overall operation quality of the industry is good, the production growth is stable, and the export growth momentum is strong. However, there has been a marked slowdown in the growth rate of domestic sales, and the differentiation trend of companies is very serious.

Yang Zhaohua, president of the China Home Textiles Industry Association, said at the 15th National New Textile Product Development Symposium on the 27th that Yang Zhaohua pointed out that in the past 7 years, the home textile industry has maintained a high-speed development trend with an annual output value growth rate of 16%. Exports also have a growth rate of 14%.

“Even in difficult times, maintaining 14% growth above scale, exports maintain 9% growth, US$36.6 billion. Last year, exports not only increased, but output value also increased,” Yang Zhaohua pointed out.

However, Yang Zhaohua still optimistically pointed out that the innovative “dividend” of the home textile industry boosted the rapid development of the industry, and the export value and output continued to climb. The average net profit of the industry reached 5.6%, and the potential of the home textile market was huge. The future industry growth trend has not changed.
